Hogmany! woo hoo

Well, here it is, the last day of the year 2009. Ive been out and about with my mum today and bought a new netbook as my laptop stopped working. We also bought a new collar for MacDuff and a few bits and bobs to see in the new year. Ive got dip in the fridge and crisps gallore, oh not forgetting the shortbread, so I hope to have a good new year. Oh yeah and a friend coming round. So here's to 2010 hope you all have a good one. Lifes far too short for regrets. I recieved a text from a friend recently and I think its appropriate to share at this moment. There comes a point in your life when you realise who matters, who never did, who wont anymore and who always will. So dont worry about people from your past; there's a reason why they didnt make it into your future.

30th December

On my days off now woo hoo. I came home from work and had a shower and have attempted to stay up all day to go to my bed at night to get back into the real world instead of the night time world that is nightshift lol Well, my friend Ian came over and took me and Arran to lunch that was nice. We went into town and I spent my voucher for boots I got from my dad for my christmas. I have bought a bottle of ghost perfume called cherish, its a nice light fragrance suitable for day wear and I also bought a new set of eyeshadows. Yeah its not exactly exciting but necessary. This goes along with my promise to myself, that Im going to be kinder to myself. Well, I dont normally buy nore wear make up but I decided to buy some due to the fact that the make up I do have currently is mostly out of date so Im buying some more. This way I can make more of an effort when I fancy a little boost. I dont like heavy make up but a little eyeshadow goes along way when you need a confidence boost.

I did manage to stay up most of the day but it kinda failed when I feel asleep on the couch at tea time. Of course now Im wide awake and its 2 am on 31st December :( Oh well I shall be partying into the night tonight anyway then back on nightshift on Saturday so maybe getting back into being awake during the day is not such a good idea.

Monday 28th September

Another day sleeping another night working, now nightshift 5, nearly there. Oh My goodness what a shift. It was another nightmare of a shift. Oh well, at least the night went by quicker. You know the only thing that is bugging me about being on nightshift is Im not able to get out and about to enjoy the snow that is still about. Ive not built a snowman yet. Oh well, who knows there may still be time yet.

Christmas Day 2009

Christmas Morning I stopped in at my daughters flat to watch my grandson open his presents. But I found mini santa instead lol Awwww how cute is he? It really made my morning prior to going home to sleep for my nightshift on Christmas night. My mum and I had our christmas dinner at tea time once I woke back up. Thanks mum and Rachel for my wii fit. It most definately was my best present.
I started off Christmas day at work. It started off a busy shift but we managed to find time to pose for the photo lol

Thursday 24th December

I was working Christmas eve but managed to get my christmas tree up before I had to go to work. Its later than usual but although Ive had a tough few months I decided it was better to make the effort and not let my difficulties get the better of my enjoyment of Christmas. In my picture you can see the latest bauble for my tree was a present from my grandson to let me know what a special grandma I am (awwww) My tree is actually like a history of my christmas's with lots of special decorations made by my children over the years. And a couple of dottee dolls from a docrafts friend of mine sue bubbles, the latest of dolls is pictured above.

Wednesday 23rd December

Today I did a few different things but I finally iced my christmas cake. It wont be ready to eat on christmas day but that doesnt matter. Im on nightshift so I wont be eating cake anyway. It will be getting dished out to my friends and family when the royal icing is ready :) I also made fudge, my first attempt and it turned out not too back I have to say. Though no pictures of the fudge at the moment. Maybe I will take pictures when I put it into the bags and tie them with festive ribbon.

Tuesday 22nd December

Today is my 40th Birthday. My family took me for my lunch. The picture above is me arriving at the hotel. It was a very good afternoon with my family for sure. For starters I had pate with oatcakes (they always give you heaps of pate but not enough oatcakes lol) for my main course I had chicken and haggis with a mustard sauce, and for pudding christmas pudding :)
Here is me with my grandson SJ he was finding that cracker very tastey lol

Here is my birthday cake my daughter organised with her best friend Kelly.

Here is of course me cutting my cake.
For presents my mum gave me a sat nav and my daughters gave me a watch and pendant set it was lovely. My cards were hand made from my daughters too. If I remember I will take photos and post photos of my cards.
Anyway thats about it for today. Im thinking I may just brave going back out one more time tonight to go to tesco and get some food in before its too late lol

Monday 21st December

Today I made 11 christmas cards, though I doubt very many people will get them on time. Oh well, there is always next year and Im sure my family and friends will understand why Ive been so far behind this year. It has been a tough 6 months. I bought the ingredients to make sweets tonight but then when I came home and made my tea, by the time I'd eaten it I was too tired (stupid nightshift lol) There is always tomorrow. As its getting too late to make anything now. Oh and Ive still got my christmas cake to ice too. This is so not working out how I planned in my head lol Looking on the bright side we may have a white christmas woo hoo

Friday 18th Dec

Well, I slept till about 2pm (later than planned) and got up and kicked back for a little while before getting showered and ready to go out for a rock night in Alloa. I met Jason for the first time. He mentioned on the bike forum he wanted to go to the same rock night so I offered to give him a lift as I was going and dont drink, he lives close to me so it wasnt a problem. In fact I helped a few friends get home from the pub :) It was a good night, I enjoyed most of the company (there in lies another story lol) By the time I got home and into bed it was well after 3am but I was still n nightshift mode anyway so I didnt actually get to sleep till 4am and then slept til 12 the next day. Its so hard to get out of nightshift mode on your days off when on nights. Anyway thats it for the 18th.

17th December

Again I slept all day, which is a good thing as it helps me stay awake at work. However, when I woke up it had been snowing so I took the opportunity to take a photo of the first snow fall. As for the rest of my day, Im getting organised to get to work. Im working again tonight. Though there is light at the end of the tunnel. Im going to a rock night tomorrow night woo hoo.

16th December

Ok Ive missed a day out already I thought Id done the 16th already. Told you I get disorientated on nightshift lol Well what I did on 16th is easy. I slept all day, then when I got up I got myself organised for work and went to work simples lol Though as its nightshift I do get quiet spells and when it was a quiet spell I was able to sit and do some crochet.

15th December

What can I say about the 15th? hmmm well, I had a very long lie to get ready for my nightshift. Its going to be a little harder to stay orientated to what day it is when on nights. Im going to have to try extra hard to remember what I did if in fact I did anything other than sleep lol I have made a decision on what costume Im going to wear to my fancy dress party Im organising for my 40th Birthday. Although my birthday is 22nd December I thought it better to make the party in the January, most people have other plans so close to christmas so its difficult to get people to come to a party at that time. So my party is on 8th January and the theme is fantasy Sci Fi Ive decided to go as a fairy queen, this is soooo me cause my name Tania comes from the russian name Titania meaning fairy queen sooo ergo its the perfect costume for me. My mum of course is going as the fairy queen mum lol Well, what else could she go as? lol

Until next time, lots of winter sparkles

Today I went to the Glasgow fort and into Hobbycraft. Oh dear that was maybe not such a good idea lol There was sooo much to choose from. My mum and I together spent over £100 on stuff lol What a great place for christmas stash. We also went to town again into pets at home and my mum bought MacDuff his Coat for Christmas. Oh and I heard there maybe snow by the end of the week. Woo hoo, its starting to feel more like Christmas time now :)

Today I ventured into town with my two daughters and grandson. It was soooo busy I didn't stay too long. I went into the chemist to buy a hair dye. My hair is now red again woo hoo lol. I went into the new coffee shop I found the other day and had a hot chocolate with my girls. I then tried to find rose water again for my turkish delight but was unsuccessful so Im going to have to look online I think.

11th December

Well today was my final work day for the week, woo hoo. I got myself home quick and jumped into the shower and got ready to go out to a rock night in Methilhill. What a good night I had. It is always really good to get together with my best friend Pam. Pity I didnt have my camera with me. Oh well never mind. I didnt get home until well after 3am in the morning. I had gone back to Pams house after we got kicked out of the pub. The journey driving home was rather scary. It was icy fog and I could not see more than a few feet in front of the car. I could not put the high beam on as it just bounced back off the fog making visibility worse. I was also soooo tired my concentration was not at its best. But I made it home safely and climbed into bed and was out like a light and did not wake up again until 11.30am.

Today I was on early shift but directly after work I went to Falkirk to meet a friend. We went into a lovely coffee shop I did not know existed so it was great to be introduced to it. Its a place called the Den and I will definately go again. I had a panini with a filling of steak and onions and a Mocha. It was really nice and reasonably priced. It was so nice to catch up with a friend and I was able to verbally invite her to my 40th birthday party. :)

Well I was on earlyshift today but I promised myself I would bake banana muffins as Ive been saying I will do it for the past week. Well I kept my promise today and baked banana muffins today :) Not tasted them yet as yet. My daughter came down and she persuaded us to go out for tea and so I ate too much as per usual and had no room left for a muffin. So it will have to wait till tomorrow/today lol. I will take them in to share with my work mates as Im on backshift. Its good to share. Photos to follow if I ever get round to taking them off my mobile :).

5th December

Oh my goodness time is flying by now. Before I know it I will be on nightshift and struggling to get organised for Christmas. At least Im off for the weekend. Today I went ice skating what a laugh. I have not been on the ice in such a long time that you would think I had never been skating before lol

As you can see I definately had a good laugh today. After I went to pizza hut and had pizza and a huge bowl of salad. It was a work of art so much so that I just had to take a photo of it. This will be uploaded at a later date as its on my mobile and I havent set up my mobile to my laptop yet. As soon as I upload the photo I will edit this post.

So all in all it was a fantastic day, well worth remembering :)

4th December

Today I was at work, now there's a surprise lol I went to tesco after I finished at 2.30pm and tried to print off some photos I took (with my mobile) when I was out on my walk with MacDuff on the 1st of December. I wanted to see the quality and thought I could add it to my December journal but it kept declining my debit card it was really starting to bug my happiness so eventually I had to leave it despite having spent at least 20 minutes bluetoothing my photos to the machine. I was not too chuffed as you had to pay with card it would not accept cash, so I think I will try the machine in asda. At least there you get your photos then pay at the till lol So that was the excitement for the 4th day in December lol

3rd December

Well folks today was pretty ordinary. I went to work and came home, I had my tea and watched some tv lol. I did get some crafting done but that was late in the evening and now I am up far too late again for my early shift tomorrow. Im going to be soooo tired. When will I ever learn? No photos again for this post Im typing it in a hurry as I promised myself I would post ever day in December. So thats exactly what Im doing. Even if it is of no importance to anyone else Im actually making an effort to keep my promise I made to myself and thats important to me. In years to come I will look back and have a record of what I did everyday in the month of December 2009. So I will bid you all a good night and speak soon.

2nd December

Today I captured many a photograph of MacDuff in his santa hat :) Ive chosen the best photo to place on my blog. This will definately be added to my journal. Today I also partially decorated the front cover of my journal which, to save time, Ive taken two mini albums I had in a christmas kit, I bought from QVC, and added them togethar to make up one mini book with 31 pages. This means Ive pretty much got an instant book to add my photos, journaling and embelishments. So a good mornings work really. (I was working backshift) Im looking forward to my next days off my work so I can do more crafting. Anyway I cant really think of anything else to put on this post so I will bid you all a goodnight as its night time and I need to go to bed. Im on early shift tomorrow.

Till next time

December 1st and counting.

It has been months since I last posted on my blog due to sad circumstances. It has become apparent that it is time I stopped feeling sorry for myself and start posting again. So what better time of year than the run up to Christmas to start posting happy thoughts. I have decided to start a December Journal book. I do love this time of year and thought it might help me heal emotionally by sharing my experiences of December with you all.

Today is 1st December 2009 and it has been a day pretty much the same as any other. I was working backshift today so I had a little time to do things in the morning. Now instead of doing something exciting I was doing a pile of ironing lol. Though I did manage to take a photograph of my puppy now aged 8 months old in the back garden I may or may not use this in my first page of my December Journal. Of course in order to be able to organise Christmas I must first have my housework in order otherwise how am I going to be able to get out and do my christmas shopping or put up my decorations at the right time (cant put up decorations in a messy house) So therefore it could be said that doing the ironing at the right time is just as important as any other part of getting organised for Christmas day. My plan is to attempt to do a single page a day of my journal however Ive not even made a start as yet due to having other things to do lol Best laid plans and all that but still I have plenty time to catch up (I hope lol) I hope you enjoy following me through this month and look forward to hearing any comments you might have on my exploits.

perfect timing

Hi Folks, long time no post. I have been so busy lately with my new job and new grandson. Ive hardly had time for anything let alone my crafting. Im glad to say now Ive finally managed to find the time to finish my grandsons first page for his album. It has taken a few days to do sitting down for only 10-15 mins at a time working on it. It is called perfect timing as he arrived when I asked him to come lol. When his mum was nearing her due date I asked her "bump" to arrive anytime the week Im on holiday from my work so I could be there for the birth. Well, Kayleigh went into labour when she was visiting me so I was there right from the start until the birth. Like I said "Perfect Timing"

Proof that "Its a wonderful life"

Baby Shaun Michael James McCarron was born 2nd April 2009 @ 4.40pm weighing 6lbs 11oz. Although he was rushed to intensive care when only hours old with a suspected chest infection, Im happy to say he is now doing very well and seems to be making a speedy recovery. I cant wait to get to cuddle him again. I hope you all enjoy this photo. I of course will make this photo into a scrapbook page as soon as I have the time. I also start my new job on Monday so it is definately exciting times for us right now.

another question done

Good morning folks, I managed to get yet another question crafted. Im not that happy with the finer detail but otherwise I like how my popcorn idea with film reel turned out. Ive almost caught up with the questions and Im hoping to catch up today by doing question number 12 just in time for the next question today lol
I have to say I found it difficult to decide on 5 films that inspire me creatively as all films inspire me just some more than others and for different reasosn.
1/ Calamity Jane is one of my all time favourite films as it inspires me to sing and perform.
2/ Its a wonderful life, is another all time favourite film that I grew up watching, inspired me as a child to be creative in how to build my relationships with people by thinking about how I affect others lifes as well as my own.
3/ The rocky horror show, again inspired me to sing and perform and be just a little cheeky
4/ Lord of the rings inspired my imagination in so many ways, I loved reading the books long before the film was even thought of.
5/ Chicago is another film that inspired me musically but also inspired me to dance, along with 42nd street. I just love jazz and tap dancing.
There are many many many other films I love and that inspire me in so many ways not just creatively.
Have a great day

craft efforts for today

After tidying up my house the last couple of days I decided to treat myself to do a little crafting. Ive managed to do another question as pictured left. Q. What was the last brave thing I did? I realise you probably cant see my answer in full but let me explain it. I dont consider that I do brave things but I really do believe that the bravest thing any of us can do is to actually live life. I try to live life as best as I can and as such I do what some would consider brave things on a regular basis. My life completey changed when I was diagnosed with cervical cancer when I was 28 Im now 39 and I have survived that hard time and come out of the other side a better person and try to life a fuller life than Ive ever done. With the passing of Jade my own experience of cancer has been at the forefront of my mind lately, hense why I thought it was relevant to this question. Things could have gone alot differently for me. Surviving it is only the start of it, it would have been so easy to feel sorry for myself and just given up on life but I didnt and Im so glad I didnt.

new stash

Well folks its not much but its a post lol Im now on holiday for a week before starting my new job on 6th April. Here is a photo of my new stash I just got yesterday from mad about cards. They have a pound section where everything is £1 its pretty cool, I recommend a peek for sure, just watch your purse lol at those prices its even more tempting than normal. Well, anyway Im off to get some housework done as I promised myself then after that I will do loads of crafting. I will probably feel more inspired with a clean house. I do believe sometimes that if you have a cluttered home this can result in a cluttered mind. And as much as I also believe the housework is not necessarily priority I do think when the house gets too cluttered it bugs me too to the point that I have to clean up before I can craft.
Take care all

A good crafty two days off

Hi folks, well its back to work today. Ive had a good couple of crafty days off. To the left you will see my question 8 answer for my journalling project Im doing along with a load of other ladies on the docrafts website (link for docrafts on my side panel) this was done yesterday I did question 7 the day before which is featured underneath this post. Yesterday morning before even starting to think about crafting I was in dalkeith with my mum and eldest daughter. We were looking for the summerfield paper people, I found an advert for in scrapbook inspirations. In the mag it did not give an address and forgot to google it before I went. Anyway in an effort to find the place we also found another great craft shop called paper lace actually in Dalkeith itself. It was a great shop and I spend money in both shops. See what I bought in my stash picture placed at the top of this post :) So anyone who lives close enough to Dalkeith I recomment both places and it is a good day out too. The Southfield paper people has bit n pieces (craft shop attached) as well as a little coffee shop. The staff are very friendly and the paper is fantastic. I loved it and would most certainly go back just rememeber you may need double the money as there are two fantastic shops lol Though a little hint how to divide the money. I think the southfield paper people (for the moment at least) is more geared to paper with only a few embelishments but the other place is full of great embelishments and other crafty stuff. But hey why take my word for it, go look for yourselfs Im sure you wont be disappointed. Funny on returning having bought my scrapbook magazine for this month I then open it to find a fuller adver for the southfield place with the address too lol

Anyway enough of me rambling on, take care and if you do go visit Dalkeith let me know what you think. It seemed like a great meeting place for a docrafts people meet :)

Take care

crafting efforts from yesterday

Above is my march challenge set by scrapbooking nat and gave a list of the following items to be used, March 17th is St. Patrick's Day so..- 4 leaf clovers - you must use flowers/blooms- Leprechauns - you must use the colour green- Rainbow - you must use ribbon (any sort, any colour)- Pot of Gold - you must use something shiny (brads, eyelets etc...) So I decided to try to make this challenge as close to possible to the elements of the challenge list. I used rainbow ribbon and gold matting with gold ribbon so unfortunatley no brads used but I do have a 4 leaf clover made using 4 hearts as the leafs, definately you can see the colour green is used.
Now the story to my memory on this page is that I took my mum out in Edinburgh on the pretence that we were going for a meal to celebrate getting my new job. During the meal it was funny that she mentioned the theatre and how we hadnt managed to get back to see something else (we previously went to see seven brides for seven brothers) so I took this opportunity to suggest we go to the box office and pick up a leaflet seen as it was only 5 mins away from where we were. So after we finished eating we wondered to the theatre I said " oh mum its busy I wonder what is on? oh look its riverdance we had wanted to see that too, how about we join the queue and find out if there are any tickets left on the off chance, of course failing that we could use these......." it was then I produced the tickets from my bag. Her face was a picture and the show was fantastic, I cant beleive I left it so long to go see it. I was absolutely lost in the emotion of that show.

This second picture is off my question no 7 from the 52 Q & A Im involved with on the docrafts website with my fellow docrafters. The question is what would you do if you knew you could not fail? Well as I love musicals that is most definately the first thing I would love to do if I had the chance to do so. Though I have to admit I would jump at the chance if the opportunity arose to do this I would have no fear of failure as I tend to feel the fear and do it anyway :)

So now that you have learnt a little more about me today I shall bid you a tara for now as Im going to get organised to go out to Dalkeith to visit a coffee shop attached to a craft shop I read about in scrapbook inspirations for this month. I will of course let everyone know how I get on and what mischief I get up to.

Take care

Hi folks Im working again today. I will be heading for a bath so I can get organised to go to work for my backshift. Its snowing again today though its not lying so no photos taken. Here are a couple of cards I have made in the last 24 hours. Im currently working on my march challenge page for docrafts scrapbooking forum. The cards were made in a bit of a rush but I think they turned out quite well considering how quickly I had to make them. Why do folk ask you to do stuff last minute? lol Well, in all fairness I could have said I didnt have the time but I didnt want to let anyone down so I made the time. I hope you like them chat soon

winter is not done yet!

Well folks it would appear that the snow is not done yet. I was out with my man for a run in a truck yesterday and today it is snowing again. Oh well never mind I dont mind the snow its makes for great photo opportunities. But I have to say Im looking forward to different kinds of photo opportunities such as the spring flowers coming out. In the mean time I will just have to keep clicking away on some beautiful snowy scenes. Im quite pleased with my photo efforts yesterday as we were still moving when I took my photos and they have actually turned out quite well. Maybe I should have put the setting different to have that feeling of movement in the photos. Oh well, I will try that another time. It was very hard to take photos from a moving truck, the truck was quite springy so I was constantly moving, at least in a car the ride is a little smoother, having said that I think this photo is a good one of the road we drove yesterday. Right time to go get organised for work, Im on a backshift today onto an early tomorrow. No rest for the wicked eh? lol

Take care all, thanks for dropping by.

Morning folks, well here is another nature photo scrapped. I printed a slightly bigger photo and added a small photo of a close up on leaves and fungus added the felt border and some buttons dotted about. I think its simple yet effective. The photo is slotted into the top right and bottom left corner of the matting stripped paper. I like the contrast of the bright green of the main paper and the bright orange and blue stripes of the matting paper behind the photo. I hope all my docraft friends are not fed up seeing the same projects as I upload them into my docrafts gallery too. Well, its my day off today and Im off somewhere special with my mum this evening which Ive organised as a surprise for her :) I hope she is pleased with what I have in mind, of course I will share with you all what happens.

Take care hope you all have a good day.

Hi folks, Im afraid this is just a quick posting. I have been on nights and I woke up later than I had anticipated. It took me a while to unfuzz my head and even then Im not thinking as clearly as i could. I dont like working nights as I really dont cope too well with the lack of sleep. I feel like Im lost in the woods lol hope you like my little pic to the side. It was taken in Palacerigg in Cumbernauld. Well unlike me Im kinda running out of words so I think I will leave it there and catch up again when Im feeling a little more refreshed and up for a better chat.

Hope you are all having fun and I look forward to catching up with you all real soon.

Take care

a productive few hours

Well, this is the run up to my nightshifts again. I have been busy beavering away on a new page this afternoon. This is a picture of me when I went skiing for the very first time on mountain snow. It was rather scary as Id only had lessons in a controlled environment in xscape at braehead. Despite my nerves and going so slow a snail could beat me I did have a good day. Thanks to my partner Allan who helped me over come my fear of the wide open mountain.

Ive kept this page plain so not to take away from the printed accetate used. I used black paper as background so the writting on the accetate can be seen. It was not the easiest of pages to photograph either but I think I have managed ok.

Oh well, time to go and get organised for work. I still have a bath to have and eat my tea before leaving at 6pm. Thank goodness Im only working 2 nights. Take care all and I will catch up with you soon.

My crafting afternoon

Hi Guys, here is the results of my crafting afternoon. Smile, is of course an old school photo of me aged 13. This brings back memories as I really was never a girlie girl though my choice of colours might contradict that statement. I was always one of the lads and liked to play football and stuff. I never had my tie done up to my neck I hated the chocked feeling. Im rather pleased with the results of this, particularly as the photo is a copy of a scanned smaller picture. My page is 8x8 and the first of a new project Ive got on the go. Im going to put all the school photos of my family in an 8x8 album including my dad and mum. It should be an interesting project.

This is my answer no. 6 It is done using much of my own writing even though I dont think my writting ever looks that good. Its basic message is that if we go back in an effort to change our lifes would it make ours or those we have touched any better? What makes us who we are is our lessons learnt from our experiences so we change those experiences and we become different people. Therefore although I think there are things I would like to have done differently if I had I may not have found myself where I am today. Its not always the best life I have but it is my life and I choose who I have in it and share it with. Besides how could I know Im experiencing the feelings of joy and excitement and all the other good feelings if I was unaware of what the bad feelings were? Doesnt a small gesture from our freinds make us feel so much better when we are feeling low? Would we experience the same depth of feeling if we were feeling happy? hmmm all interesting questions dont you think? This post is getting a little deep so perhaps I should round it off there and let your imagination run away a little.

Take care

My NEW stash

Hi folks, here is a picture of the lovely stash I have bought from "make the moment last" I found them thanks to Gina, one of my friends on docrafts she looks out for bargains and then usually passes the info onto us. All this lot cost me around £15 including p&p. I ordered this stuff on 22nd Feb and it arrived on 25th Feb, although I didnt get it until today as I was out when the postie arrived :( Oh well, I have it now and isnt it scrumptious? Thank you Gina and thank you make the moment last. I think Im going to disappear for a while and have a play lol. Just before I go Id love to tell you about another great site I have got stuff from and they currently have an exceptional sale on. The website is Ellisondesign.co.uk Many of their dies and embossing folders are 0.50p each, what a fantastic bargain and the service is great, very fast, I would definately recommend either website.

Take care folks speak real soon

Why is it????.........

.......When you are expecting a really nice parcel in the post he/she turns up in the afternoon when you are out and you have to wait until the next day to pick up your parcel from your local post office?
Also, why can you try on one item of clothing in one size and another you need to get a bigger size. I never know whether to pick up 12 or 14 when Im out shopping for clothes. I was in next and I bought some really nice things but for one top I had to purchase a 14 and 2 other tops I needed a 12. Then I went into river island to come out feeling miserable about my weight cause everything I tried on was too tight including a top at a 14 and I refuse point blank to buy a bigger size than 14 I know its a psychological thing but arrrrgggg its not good for ones self esteem to have to buy 2 sizes bigger than you actually are. And those stupid mirrors show all your flaws, oh yeah and its not the best idea to go just off a nightshift I looked even worse in those mirrors. God I was looking old. Oh well, I will just have to not look in those stupid mirrors any more, cause I did buy some really nice stuff that looks great on me :)
Rant over hope everyone who reads this is having a good day so far.

Good morning folks, Im not long home from a night shift. Im feeling pretty tired but I thought Id stay up just a little longer this morning to try to help me sleep longer today. I dont normally sleep too well during the day when Im on nightshift so I find Im ultra tired at work by the end of my week :( This week Im lucky I have 2 nights to work then off 3 days then another 2 nights to work. As I dont cope with the lack of sleep too well this is probably better for me.

The picture at the side is my latest creation, I needed somewhere for my pens so I thought Id take an empty jam jar (washed of course lol) and I added a ribbon at the top and made another label for it using blue and pink thin card. The letters and flower prints were done using the pens to ink the stamps. The letter stamps I had bought in hobbycraft months ago, but the flowers were a freebie in a craft magazine (sorry cant remember which one) It didnt take too long and now I have my pens on hand when I need them rather than diggin into the basket, which is oddly in the background, to find them. I have a tendency to use the basket to shove little bits and bobs into so I dont loose them when working on a project on my desk.

Right folks as much as I would love to stay and chat for ages, I guess I should be winding down to allow myself to sleep. Oh I hope I sleep well so Im ready for tonight. Last night I forgot to take my glasses so ended up suffering for it (I get headaches if I dont wear my glasses when I need to) So note to self, I must remember my glasses tonight.

Take care

Sparkles and bubbles to all. Thanks for taking the time to visit and read my post.

52 Q and A from the beginning till now

My mini photo album recovered. Each page features one answer. As I haven't had my blog going since the beginning of starting this blog I thought Id feature what Ive done so far.
question 1. what do I hope this year will bring

2. Am I afraid of change.

3. When I look into my eyes I see.......

5. How do I feel today?
I got a little stuck at this point, not with my answer as I recognise how I feel but with how to put my creativity into embellishing my words, but my friends on docrafts helped me by boosting my confidence in my own work and I was inspired to do this answer. So my answer is based more on how I felt when I created this page rather than how I felt at the time the question was posed.
I hope you enjoy seeing what Ive done so far and I look forward to sharing my other questions as and when I finish them.
Sparkles and bubbles to all today.

a scrapbookpage inspired by a trip to a museum

Well folks, I didnt get any crafting of my own done today. I have however helped my partners daughter make a scrapbook page of our museum trip today as well as a cardboard dinasaur for her school project.
Ive included a couple of photos of the scrapbook page. All paper, embelishments and where to place them were chosen by Niamh, I helped when she needed it.
I think its a great page hope you like it too.
Take care all

Hi and good morning to you all from Bonny Scotland, afternoon if you are reading this later. Well, its the start of a new day. Well, so far I have been working on making my page a little more pleasing to the eye. As you can see I found a great website called thecutestblogontheblock.com where I got my music themed background. I hope you like it, I know I do. It fits me perfectly cause I love music. I love listening to it and I also love singing too. Prior to me becoming a nurse and working shifts I used to be in amatuer musicals it was such a buzz. Maybe one day I will post some pics of me in costume. Ive done "Mame" and "Anny get your gun" I would love to be able to go back to it and be the lead in "Calamity Jane" That part was just made for me lol

Right I had better get back to working on my secret project, that so far Im managing to keep a secret. It will take me a few days I think to have a finished product I that I can showcase :) so watch this space............

TTFN Take care, sparkles and bubbles to all
